Ham Cooking Guide
All of Sugardale's Private Collection hams are fully smoked and ready to eat. You may serve them cold or heat as desired. To heat, we recommend that you preheat your oven, to 325ş. Place the ham, uncovered, into the oven until the desired degree of brownness is achieved. Then cover with foil and continue to heat to an internal temperature of 135ş to 140ş. This takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes per pound.

The Sugardale BeautyŠ Ham

Place the ham on its side. Take several long slices off the thin side and turn the ham over onto this flat area. Make a cut down to the bone 6 inches from the shank end. At the large end, cut down to the leg in front of the large bone. Run the knife along the leg bone up to your first cut. Remove this center section and lay it flat side down. Slice to the desired thickness. Return the remaining ham to its side and slice both ends.

Sugardale Signature and HERITAGE Hams

These hams are boneless and easy to carve. Simply take several long slices off the side, turn onto the flat portion and slice to the desired thickness.

The Sugardale Meat Storage Guide
All our meats are shipped frozen. Should any of our products be delivered to you unfrozen, check to see if they are cool to the touch. If so, you may refreeze them or fully thaw and serve them with complete confidence. You will have no loss of flavor.

We recommend you store all of your meats in their original packaging, in as cold a freezer as possible; 0ş is preferred. As with all frozen foods, the more often they are exposed to warm air, either by opening the freezer door or using a frost free freezer, storage times will be decreased. Under normal conditions, you can safely store any of our Sugardale smoked meats or steaks up to six months in your freezer. We recommend that refrigerator storage times be no greater than 10 to 14 days for smoked meats and 2 to 3 days for steaks.
